I sent out a simple tweet asking this question: “If leaders would do more [blank] & less [blank] things would be better 4 their followers. @replies will be blogpost thx”
The responses were relatively consistent. The Overall theme is that people would be better off if their leaders were less micro-managing and more empowering, in addition to doing less talking and more doing.
Thanks to everyone who responded. Here are the 21 Responses:

It’s almost unanimous, STOP TALKING so much and start listening Leaders!!
I learned that from John Maxwell’s Leadership Gold, he tells of going into a meeting he writes a BIG “L” on his page to remind him to LISTEN…it worked for me and my leadership, hope it helps for yours too.
You can always tell if a leader cares for you in the first 5-10 minutes of a meeting with them, if they did all the talking or asked you a question within that time. OUCH.
I’ve said enough, now I’m exposed, I must go into hiding now.

The second one strikes me the most – try to follow Christ and not be him. I think that is the root of all of the rest of the problems.

I like #11. more praying and less worrying. Although I like to think of it as ~ more focusing and affirming and less worrying. More visioning and setting intentions and less worrying. Lead them there.

Point to Christ and him crucified rather than telling their followers to be naval gazers.
